Tony, for the record, hated winter. He hated it. It was cold, it was dark, and it fucking snowed. IT FUCKING SNOWED!! He was one of those people where if he didn't see snow for the entire year he was happy, if it was over 60 degrees, he was happy, when there was only a soft cool wind, he was happy. When it was fricking 20 degrees and he had snow up to his ankles in some parts with a 10 degree windchill, that's when he was pissed. And he was out in the snow, using his nose to try and find patients, specifically werecats, that were out past their bedtime. Why was he out at this cold hour? He was a warden, although he preferred his title "Chief Mechanic". He only took the jobs the other wardens didn't want. He pitied the crazies that got stuck out in the snow. He knew most vampires wouldn't mind going out in this weather, he didn't know about Death Angels and the poor witches couldn't stand it. He knew a few that didn't like the cold and they dressed warmly to keep from freezing. Anthony was currently wearing a black motorcycle jacket over a gray t-shirt that had a few oil stains on it. His jeans also had a few oil stains on his thighs and he wore Nike running shoes. He didn't know why he didn't dress warmer, he was woken from his nice sleep to try and find these patients that weren't inside. The snow crunched under his feet, making a nice calming sound in The Jungle, as it has become known. Tony was here from the beginning, designing the bracelets for the patients. He constantly was updating them, the newer patients getting the newer bracelets. The old ones worked perfectly but he kept updating them for the new Invitus, no blocked signals, less explosive but it created a larger boom, and any bracelets he deemed obsolete were replaced while the patient was sleeping or in therapy, and so far that didn't happen yet, thank goodness. Anthony didn't feel like dealing with replacing all those Invitus bracelets at the moment. A strong gust of wind blasted behind him and he nearly stumbled into a tree, but from behind him was a strong scent. One he couldn't quite place. He turned around and started back against the wind, then decided against it and took refuge behind one of the larger trees, trying to warm his hands up by blowing on them. He rubbed them together for a bit and let his hearing tune to the surroundings. Besides from the howl of the wind, he thought he heard footsteps behind him, crunching the snow as well. Anthony shoved his hands into his coat pockets and tried searching for gloves, but didn't find any. Memo to Anthony Edwards: Buy a pair of fucking gloves, scarves and hats when he got back home after drinking hot coffee and sitting in a hot bath. He didn't remember winters this cold in New York, and he didn't remember winters this cold in the 50's or 60's either, the 70's were pretty cold, but he rarely left his house, as it was after the Vietnam War. Tony put his hands over his ears to try and warm them up. Yep he did not like cold weather. His shift was a tiger, preferring warmer jungles to this frozen forest. He was contemplating on shifting, but then he'd lose his favorite jacket and the only shirt he had left to work and sleep in, so he decided against it. But if it got any colder he'd shift and run home. He was pretty sure this was a wild goose chase, the Chief warden being, in Tony's opinion, pretty crazy. Ah well, if the person walking toward him turned out to be a patient, they were getting sent back home, if not... ...Anthony was going to be one pissed cat. It was cold, far too cold out for the small seventeen year old. She seemed to be positively clutching herself as she walked, her black cat familiar following closely at her side and guiding her. Which was good considering she was not in good condition. Good condition would be being warm because they had brought gloves and scarves and all the warm things. But Lyessy had not been thinking of that when she had gone out into the cold cold weather. No, when she had gone out into the bitter bitter cold, she had been thinking of someone else rather than herself. A poor little pale kitty girl who just wanted her dolly. Said rather dirty dolly was rested in the crook of the Greek ancestry girl's arm. It didn't really help warm Lyessy's arms but the weight of the dolly was comforting as the seventeen year old with the mentality right now of a five year old walked.
It was hard to see ahead of her with the snow and with the fatigue that kept on affecting the delicate looking kid. But she knew she had to bring the dolly to the poor dead girl. She didn't mean to be dead but she was so she couldn't get her dolly so Lyessy got it for her. But she was really cold... She spotted that there was a person in front of her and half fell on him, shivering. "Lyessy is cold..." She said loudly enough for him to hear. "Lyessy needs help getting this dolly to the little girl, she is so cold and Nyxie will be really angry at Lyessy but she wanted to help her." Lyess likely playing with toys so she understood how sad it was to not have have a toy or a person. She was so very very alone and she didn't want the girl to be all alone without someone with her even if it was just her dolly.
She was shivering quite a bit and her skin was paler than it usually was. Arguably, if it had been Nyx in control of the body, they probably would've dressed right. Lyess wasn't really known for her common sense but Lyess had deliberately gone out after Nyxie was asleep in order to help out the ghost girl because the ghost girl needed the dolly now or she couldn't sleep. The ghosty couldn't go get the dolly herself. she could only show Lyessy briefly where it was because the dolly was so broken down. And Nyxie had just waved it off, saying they could do it in the morning when it was less cold but Lyessy didn't want the ghosty girl to have to wait til morning. She gripped the coat of the person she fell on's coat like it was a lifeline and cuddled into it. Shadow mewed a bit frantically and pawed at the werecat as though asking for help for his stupid master.

Anthony was right he did smell someone behind him, and he heard her too. Poor kid must be freezing! She was talking in third person though which Tony thought was strange, but he didn't think on it too much and tried to stay warm. The Jungle should have blocked out most of the cold since it was a bunch of trees but somehow he managed to walk in the area where the snow and wind just SOMEHOW managed to find him. Of all the lousy luck. He shivered slightly when the cold hit him again, now Anthony was desperately wishing to change into his shift. Apparently that wasn't going to happen now as he was tackled by the girl following him. She clung to his coat and Tony realized this girl was freezing to death. Tony quickly shrugged off his jacket and wrapped it around the girl. "Here, this'll warm you up." He said, the jacket was already warm from Tony's body, the girl would warm up quickly. He hoped. The cold stung Tony's bare arms and he shivered violently. Yea it was time to go. Luckily he found the patient and was glad it wasn't a wild goose chase. "I'm gonna take you back now, OK? You're turning blue on me and I don't want you to die of frostbite. What's your name kid?" Tony shivered again and he cursed himself aloud for not wearing warmer clothing. He looked down at the girl's cat and sighed, it was pawing at him. If it was asking for help because of its master he was damn lucky Tony was out here. "Do you mind riding on the back of a tiger or do you want me to carry you back?" It was a simple question, if he was a tiger they'd be back quicker, if he was still human, it'd take longer but at least they'd both reach home alive in both options. The tiger would also have thick fur so Tony wouldn't freeze, and the heat radiating from Tony's shift would warm the girl up. Turning into a tiger was sounding more and more decent as time went on, but he hoped his other form wouldn't hurt the girl, his shift was dominant, but his family said it was gentle, so he was hoping it'd be alright for the girl. Freezing to death did not sound fun, for either of them. Oh yea, Tony was buying gloves. He hugged the girl and rubbed his hands up and down her forearm, trying to pass more heat to the girl. He didn't want her to freeze. "What are you doing out here all by yourself anyway?" He wanted to talk to her House and make sure they knew that she was gone and take appropriate action. When Lyess was given the jacket, she smiled gratefully at the man, he was nice. Nyxie would've probably been annoyed accepting a strange man's gifts but she was just too cold and she didn't have the same problems with men Nyxie did. She had the memory but that wasn't her main memory and she knew not all men were not like that. Of course, Nyxie wouldn't believe her anyways because she didn't trust Lyessy's judgement. Lyessy didn't even trust her judgement most of the time but she did know that Nyxie was wrong. Besides, the kind man was shivering from losing his jacket, he has sacrificed his jacket so Lyessy could become warm so Lyessy could at least accept it. She wasn't ungrateful and she was oh so cold.
She nodded at the taking her back comment. "Lyessy's name is Lyess but the body is Andrea and the Core is Nyxie." She said quite honestly. "Tiger sounds fun and fast." She liked the idea of riding on the back of a tiger too. Her eyes had widened when she first heard the word tiger and ride in the same sentence. It sounded so interesting and Lyess really really really wanted to do something fun. A lot of the time she did what she did, the bad stuff, when she became bored. She wasn't bored now but she certainly was looking forward to riding a tiger.
Lyess tilted her head when she was asked what she was doing. "Kind Mr. will probably find it strange but Lyessy was bored so she snuck out." She told him, still not lying because she didn't lie, she couldn't and she liked the man. "She saw a ghostie and the ghostie needed Lyessy's help... Lyessy didn't need to help her but the poor ghostie was missing her dolly and it's mean to let a ghostie sleep without their dolly when they can't come get it." Lyess shifted the jacket so she could take out the doll. It was a worn doll that looked older. It was not one of those creepy porcelain dolls but a simpler cloth doll with off tan skin, black hair and blue eyes. It was wearing a red dress and as Lyess was showing the doll she sort of moved it back and forth because it was cute.

OK how many people were sharing this poor girl's head? She must have been in either House B, C or the asylum...but knowing that the asylum was for major crazies he decided she was in house C, but he better make sure. "What house are you in so we can get there faster?" He shivered again and looked at his fingers. They were turning red. Yea he was starting to get really cold. OK so Lyessy said that she wouldn't mind riding a tiger. Good Tony could shift now. But not yet, soon though. He kept rubbing his hands together, trying to warm them up faster. He was glad his jacket wouldn't get ruined in the shift, thank god, but his favorite jeans would be. Ah well he could always buy another pair. Tony looked around the forest and was glad to see that the snow stopped but the wind was bitter cold! He shivered again and started walking, motioning his head for the girl to follow. "I'll shift on the way right now we need to move to keep the blood moving to our feet and hands." He rose an arm to keep the wind from blowing in his face and held his other hand out to the girl, hoping she'd take it. She told him that she was bored and wanted to leave. No surprise there the more crazy you were the less stuff you got to do. Tony didn't feel sorry for making the bracelets, but he wished those who had less privileges had something to do. He listened to her and she said that she saw a ghost girl and she wanted her dolly, which Lyessy was holding in her arms. She moved it around a bit and Anthony chuckled a bit. The doll reminded him of his sister, she used to have cloth dolls like that too. He sighed and had to remember to write a letter to her and ask how his mother was doing. He missed them a lot. "I'd ask why the dolly couldn't wait until tomorrow but you're turning a bit blue, cover your eyes sweetie."So, with that notion, he shifted. Anthony groaned and fell to the ground, holding his stomach. He felt his nails turn to claws and he fell forward into the snow. The shift was always painful, but he was pretty fast at it so it didn't hurt much, still hurt like hell though. He felt his spine lengthen and his hands now clutched his head, brain feeling like it would explode out of his skull. His brown eyes turned hazel and his vision went black. When he opened his eyes he just knew he was cold. He didn't understand where he was or what happened, he was just cold. He looked around and saw torn blue, black and gray fabric. He sniffed at it then realized it was his. He then sniffed at the snow and smelled a girl. He looked toward her and a low growl left his throat. He padded over to her, the snow crunching under his paws, and sniffed her. She was lost and cold, the tiger understood that much. He lied down on his stomach and waited for the girl to climb on, he'd take her home. He knew this place well.Words: 600? muse: suckish Comments: Italics are tiger thoughts Outfit: Just click the link on the previous posts i'm too tired to get it

When asked what house she was in, she tilted her head and thought. She actually didn't really know that, she never really paid attention when the nulls were dragging her place to place and usually the others were the ones who took her places. So she was listening, listening to the others as she closed her eyes to try to block off the sound of the wind and the cold. Eventually she opened her eyes. "Nyxie says we are C and barely managed not to be put into the asylum because of her and our host." She told him, rubbing her hands together herself, imitating him since it seemed like it kept him warm and her fingers did feel warmer. Her toes on the other hand were still pretty cold even in boots, which she had worn.
When he told her to move, she did, following closely behind him. She seemed very much like a lost toddler rather than the sixteen of her body. She took out her wings to help shield her front and make the jacket warmer. The purplish black wings did help a little bit but they reminded Lyess of something she would have to deal with later. "Lyessy is not going to enjoy having to deal with the pokey men with white coats and needles." She commented "It doesn't matter though, Eric is dead and so is Andrea and we aren't going to live very long." She sounded a bit mature for a bit and sighed before she ended up going back to more childish when she talked to Anthony, having been talking out loud to herself when she had been talking.
Lyess actually didn't have a bracelet because she was more Volnus and she knew better than to leave. Nyx managed to convince them otherwise since they did come here because of their adoptive mother. She was amused at his chuckle and looked at him a bit. Then he sighed and she wondered about that too. When he told her to not look, she covered her eyes with the doll giggling but couldn't help peaking at some point in the process. It looked as painful as when Eric got his wings only on so much more of things. When she heard the crunching of snow, she looked again and was face to face with a tiger.
Of course, any idea of a threat brought out Nyx if she could handle it no matter what Lyess wanted. Still, Lyess was able to tell Nyx he was safe before the rather robotic alter came out with an annoyed huff. "Lyess needs to learn not to do this sort of thing." She said in an annoyed semi monotone. She looked warily at the tiger before deciding to get on, she put away her wings so that way she could better keep the jacket on her. She made sure to grip tightly around the tiger's neck and as a sign of kindness allowed Lyess the capability to feel the sensation of the ride. She didn't trust the alter in the cold to be capable of holding on but she could at least let the alter have some of the experience through bleed through. The tiger was very warm and Nyx was happy to let herself feel some like of the warm sensation while ignoring the fact that the tiger was usually a man. The tiger heard the girl say something but it couldn't really understand her. He stored the words into his brain for later, when he could fully understand them. He felt the girl climb onto his back and wrap her arms around his neck. He stood up slowly and made sure the girl wouldn't fall off before burring his now torn up clothes in the snow, then started quickly for the edge of the forest. The wind was stinging his skin through his thick fur, penetrating his human consciousness ever so slightly. The tiger growled in annoyance to the cold and quickened its pace. The sooner out of this forest the better.
He made sure to check on the girl several times, turning his head slightly to look at the girl. She looked warmer, that was for sure, and the tiger's tail wagged slightly at that. He looked forward again and closed his eyes, keeping the cold from freezing them. He hoped the girl kept her face down in his neck so it wouldn't freeze anymore than she already was. He'd hate to lose her now, he could hear her heart beating and could feel the poor girl against his back. At least she'd be warm.
He'd want his jacket back too.
He opened his eyes and nearly slammed into a tree, sliding on the snow until his nose touched the bark. The tiger roared and slashed at the tree with his claws, creating four deep gash marks in the bark. He snuffed at the tree then slowly continued around it, giving the girl ample time to regain her balance if he accidentally shook her.
Back again, this time nearly running out of the forest. He could hear the music and hustle and bustle of the nightlife. He could have smiled if he wanted, but no time. He ran out of the forest and into the nearest street, nearly knocking over other patients and staff members. He roared, sounding like a "Sorry!" and ran down the street. He quickly searched the mental map of the place and remembered the teen housing was in...
The witches district. The tiger sighed in relief. Luckily it wasn't the vampire who controlled the teens, if it was, he would have refused to go any further. The lights, smells and sounds flashed by him as he ran, entering the center of the city before running through the park, marking the smooth snow with his large tiger paws. Once he entered the teen district his nose was overpowered with the smells of incense and candle wax. He snuffed his nose once and finally started walking. His body was now warm and his heart rate increased, circulating the blood. He walked to the Teen Housing and lied down on the ground, waiting for her to get off.Words: 490 Comments: Sorry bout the run to the teen housing but this tiger didn't want anybody freezing half to death Muse: Good for the tiger Outfit: What outfit he's a tiger!
