The shop was quiet about ten minutes before opening same for the quick movement of the one person working inside. The feminine figure walked this way and that in the store making sure everything was as perfect as always for the opening. Although it was generally agreed on that objects didn't hold magic, Aki still felt it best to make sure that they got to every single object there and positioned them just right. It would seem unfair somehow if an object didn't get picked by the right person because no one could see them and object youkai held a long memory. Although the twenty eight year old could be dead when the youkai came into existence if the youkai came into existence, Aki was cautious. After all, there were more things in heaven and earth then what people expected there to be.
The protective charms on the doors were set up, making sure that only those with good intent could enter and those with ill intent to the store or Aki would get a bit of a nasty shock. It was how the shop owner prevented the store from getting robbed actually. Well... that and sometimes the people who decided to try to trash up the store got to see Kiten-chan at a nasty point. Reminded of the fox, Aki looked over at the familiar with a slight smile, the currently white coated fox giving a bit of a yip at Aki's attention. The Japanese person went over and petted the fox lightly, scratching their ears with gloved hands. There was nothing else Aki could really do to make things better except possibly change clothing but Aki liked the outfit they were in.
The outfit was quite pretty with a long, winter blue and white themed cape combined with a white dress. Platform boots made the already pretty tall at 5'8 Japanese person seem more about 6. Aki's hair was done up in a way that was more spiky and it was apparent they had been trying for a snow princess look. Whether it worked on not depended on how other people thought of it. For now, Aki just fiddled with the nic nacks that were at the front of the shop for a bit before playing with their tarot cards. After a bit longer, they realized they forgot to actually make the sign show the shop was open. Aki went out from behind the counter and moved over quickly to deal with the sign. A bit too quickly as Aki slapped right into the window of the show.
"Itai... That really hurts." Aki said quietly with a slight Japanese accent as they turned the sign. They then headed back to behind the counter, hoping soon to hear the sound of people coming in, the ring of the bell on the door.
