INNATE ABILITIES: Speaking before he has quite thought things through, athletics and he is not that bad at school.
SPECIES ABILITIES

Vince was born a null. He kind of grew into his power and the amount of power he can use. Someone needs to be within about a meter of him when relaxed or two meters of him for him when he is affected by adrenaline to subconsciously affect their powers. Consciously he needs to sort of throw his power at them and concentrate to pick someone specific or get it to work from a longer distance. He usually doesn't need to do this so he has been slacking on it and it doesn't always work for him. His throwing his power is technically sort of telekinesis from the fact he has two null parents but he couldn't throw someone thirty meters. He could push someone into a wall telekinetically or throw a psychic version of one of his punches though, sometimes he does subconsciously but generally any fights have to be won with muscle and the fact people can't use their powers around him.

RECOMMENDED BY?: Parents... I was kind of born here and since I showed Null powers they recommended me to the service of Warden.
EXPERIENCE

I've been trained in hand to hand weapons by my parents. I also have lived in this town all my life so I know it sort of well...

DESIRED? The cauldron district, then I'm not beating up little kids nor dealing with adults I can't handle. They won't exactly like me but then they never really liked me anyways.

HISTORY:

Vince Bryant came into being because of an unfortunate set of circumstances. Two nulls came to the town to visit family, having just recently gotten together. These two were going to leave jsut before the place was made an asylum but decided to spend an extra four days in Black Springs. In one of these four days Vincent was conceived. Maria and Darren were fairly shocked when they couldn't leave the town but even more shocked when they found Maria was pregnant. So Darren got to working and Maria did work around the house throughout her pregnancy, afraid of going out into the streets of the city turned asylum and dealing with the insane while she was pregnant. After she gave birth to Vincent, she took a job as a Warden in order to learn how to defend herself and her family.

She worked part time compared to Brian's full time Warden work. Vince barely saw his father in his very early years but that was made up for by his mother. When he was two and his mother found it necessary to take him out with her in order to not have the terrible two do something mischievous. At the grocery store, he ended up playing with another kid but they got scared away when they realized they couldn't show him their magic or even use their magic. At least until they returned to their parent. That was the first time Vince really realized he was a null and this first meeting and many afterwards kind of enhanced his feeling about dealing with people. Instead, he was home taught for the first several years of his life. He learned a few combat moves from his parents and showed he was a quick learner when it came to being taught lessons.

He did need a bit of work to get reading down and probably why he still doesn't quite get it. When he became a teen, he was introduced to high school. High school meaning the usual semi judgmental school full of teenagers who are enjoying discovering their powers, using them and chatting with everyone but him. He'd seem like a good contender for being popular, he was good at sports and he was at least a solid B+ student. But he didn't want to play sports professionally and possibly hurt people because of the muscle people didn't know about. Also... He was a bit awkward with dealing with people because he was isolated. So he kind of drifted, more friends with adults then his peer group. More likely to not speak like his peers and not have friends amongst them. Good thing too because they were usually the ones that Wardens had to deal with.

PERSONALITY:

Vince is a bit jaded, having been stuck in the city since he was born and dealt with all manner of things here. Being a null, he can't be crazy but sometimes he wished he was just to blend in. Not many people like him because as the sane sixteen year old who cancels out everyone's power, he is sort of the odd one out. Since there are a lot of people who won't like him for that reason he acts aloof and a bit cocky to try to at least like himself since not a lot of other people in his peer group will. He likes playing sports but he isn't exactly a sports nut and it drives his gym teacher nuts. He is fond of whatever music can be found in the place.

Because both of his parents are wardens, he is suppose to be one too but he doesn't particularly like it. Oh, he will defend himself but he won't use force on someone if he doesn't have to and sometimes he will spend as long as possible getting to an area so other people can deal with it. he isn't very fond of normal confrontation either, if he is fighting with his parents, you are more likely to find him skipping the going home step for as long as possible rather than go home. Which can be embarrassing when he has to be brought home at curfew by his parents. He likes his parents and he admires the job, he just was never really the violent type, he doesn't like that his job separates him from his peers either.

See... Vince is an only child and a bit of a baby. He wants people to like him but at the same time people don't like him. So he pretends it doesn't matter that no one likes him. He is fond of animals and he likes protecting people. He has a sense of fair play and if he doesn't feel like it's a fair fight he won't fight or he will make the fight as even as possible, sometimes recklessly. Only when he has to fight someone, when it comes to defending himself, he will only not do dirty tricks. Otherwise he really doesn't care, they are asking for it if they attack him. He has a preference for weapons but he doesn't mind hand to hand. He often times goes to train in fighting so he can bring someone down without dirty methods and without hurting them.

Out of necessity, he is a bit solitary. When he is not reading classbooks, volunteering to get his mind off of things or doing Warden in training stuff, he likes to look at the stars or the sky. Why? It's a good thing to look at when thinking and he had an excuse to be in a high place... He likes learning to fight and burning off energy in fair fights but he doesn't like the idea of possibly becoming an oppressive Warden like his parents.
