KITTEN TERELISE BLAKE
NAME: Kitten Terelise Blake
NICKNAMES: Kitty, Kitty-Cat, Kit
AGE/BIRTHDAY: 21
OCCUPATION: Owns the Zoo District.. all of it.
GENDER: Female
SPECIES: Saber-Tooth Werecat
JOB: You know the East side of town? The side of town where the sun rises? Yeah, that'd be mine.
SEXUALITY: unknown, bisexual assumingly
EXPERIENCE?: grew up here
INNATE ABILITIES: Musical talent. She can dance, sing, as well as play a good few instruments. Mainly the piano, violin, harp and cello... because she could only annoy Xavier Blake enough to allow her classical music lessons for classical instruments.
SPECIES ABILITIES
Because of the... "unique" way Kitty became a werecat, Kitty is a great deal abnormal. Instead of the human and the cat being two separate beings, Kitty is mentally, emotionally and physically, more of a mix between who she was before the injection and her werecat side. Her hair is the color of the fur when she shifts and her eyes never change no matter her form, her nails and toenails are now retractable claws, though a great deal smaller than they are in her cat form, more like dainty things while she's human. aside from the fact that the claws are retractable, the same can be said for Kitty's canine teeth... or... should they be called feline teeth now? Either way, two teeth on the top and bottom row of Kitty's mouth are dainty little fangs, so when she smiles widely, the fangs are visible, somehow fitting just in front of Kitty's normal teeth. She unconciously walks about on the balls of her feet and even when she notices, she can't seem to be able to plant both feet firmly on the ground anymore.
Shifting forms is something that comes quickly to Kitty, it passes through her quickly, only lasting a matter of seconds. She can switch from human to feline rather quickly and periodically, there seems to be no set time she must spend in her cat form before she can switch back to human to ensure she won't soon pass out again. Absolutely no recovery time is needed. However, in her feline form, there are still traces of her human self which most werecats wouldn't be capable of. She seems to understand perfectly what is said by others around her and is capable of reasoning. She can't talk, but her face is capable of expressions in this form which she shouldn't be able to manage if she were a real feline. She even seems to posses feelings in this form which a normal werecat in feline form wouldn't be able to understand.
RECOMMENDED BY?: Well, lets see. First my daddy owned this place, then he finally died and now my sisters and i are the big bosses around her. Get it?

HISTORY:
Kitty got her name from how she first acted when the twins were born. The first sound she had made was so close to the sound of a mewl of a kitten it had amused her mother. Of course, Kitten isn't aware her mother even named her. For all Kitty knows, her mother died giving birth to her and she was named by the hired help. After all, growing up, Kitty had easily been able to tell their father didn't care very much for she and her sisters. He certianly couldn't have possibly cared enough to have named the twins.
Of course, this was back when the twins were near identical. They had the same eyes, same hair, were the same size, the only way to tell them apart if they were both sitting still was by what they were wearing, but even then, it was a difficult task... that is, until Kitty learned to crawl. As soon as she learned how to get to places on her own she was off like a rocket. She wouldn't be stilled for anything, always crawling about exploring and playing hide and seek with the nannies and Sera... whether the nannies and Sera understood it was a game or not. Always smiling, laughing and giggling all the while, it was fun for baby Kitten. When Sam entered their lives and started teaching them to fight and battle techniques, Kitty had been too young to understand. She thought it was all a game. Though she thought it was all fun and play, she took to it in stride, though truly clueless about why she would ever need to know such things, let alone how to apply it. But she was a child then it really wasn't that surprising she couldn't understand, but impressive for a 6 year old none the less.
Kitty liked to run around and play, thinking up games quickly and getting her twin to play with her, since Sera didn't really seem to like to run around so much and Vira was always with their father or Sam, which left the twins to themselves. Growing up, the twins were all each other really had for a friend and playmate. They had been close, very close. Which of course, is rather hard to believe now.
When the little town they lived in suddenly became an asylum was when Kitty learned about music. Try as Sera might, she couldn't watch Kitty at all times. Kitty wanted to explore this change in things and learn what it was. She snuck out and out of Sera's watchful eye when she got the chance and escaped into the town. Kitty had always had a good sense of hearing, so she chased the strange and mysterious sound she heard. What Kitty found was a deathy she had never seen before, sitting on a bench and playing a acoustic guitar while singing. Kitty was mesmerized. It looked like fun, it sounded wonderful. She wanted to know what it was. Wielding her 6 year old cuteness like a great weapon, Kitty learned about music from the deathy. The deathy had a stereo with him, he told her all about music and introduced the different kinds to her, the sounds the different instruments. Kitty was so interested.
She wanted to play.
Of course, there was one tiny issue with this want of Kitty's. She couldn't possibly get lessons, let alone instruments, without going through her father. That was when Kitty started pestering her father. She knew what she wanted and knew what she had to do to get it. So determined with her mind set and focused, Kitty would locate her father (strangely enough, Vira was with him whenever Kitty found him) and pester him till he caved. Begging, giving reasons to why it would be a good idea she learn, and of course the greatest reason that was how Kitty truly won every single time: that she wouldn't leave him alone till Kitty had what she was begging for. Kitty never knew what her father was doing with her eldest sister, all she knew, was she wanted to learn how to play the piano, the guitar, the.... everything! She wanted to make music and would not rest until she had the instruments she desired and learning material to find out how to go from simply making noise to playing music.
After enough pestering, Xavier gave in and gave the youngest what she had been screaming for. Then it was back to avidly avoiding her father like Sera had taught her. She had her learning tools, now it was time for her to teach herself, seeing as how her father had only given her self-teaching books with the instruments. That may have been when the twins started to drift apart. Kitty was bent on learning music, though she never minded in the slightest when her twin came into her room wanting to try one of the instruments.
However, just because Kitty was near in love with her instruments didn't mean She didn't read. When she wasn't running around with her twin or playing her instruments in her room, Kitty had most likely found an interesting book, probably found in Sera's room. Sera liked books so much, Kitty, when she was in her pre-teens, wanted to know what the big attraction was. When not in her own room filling it with sound or running about with her twin, Kitty could be found curled up in a sunny yet comfortable spot somewhere in the house reading. Strangely enough, the topic that had intrigued her the most, were the dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. She couldn't understand how such gigant creatures had managed to all be wiped out so easily. When Kitty had her attention buried in a book, the house could be collapsing around her and she wouldn't notice. If anyone was walking by her, or sitting in front of her observing her, she would be none the wiser. Sometimes, she would be sitting beside her twin while her twin was reading the vampire books, and others, she wouldn't even be aware her father came into the room and was watching her read, observing the cover of the book from the distance, and getting ideas.
That was what Kitty had been doing when her father finally approached. Kitty had been sitting in a hallway by an open window, intent with the book she had. Vira was off somewhere with Sam, Sera was no where in sight and neither was Addy. It was just Kitty and daddy in the hallway. But then, that had been why Kitty was sitting there in the first place. It was quiet with no one around. Good to just read. She hadn't even noticed when her father had picked her up and walked away, still too enraptured in the book about strange cats with fangs that once walked the earth.
The only DNA Xavier could scrounge up of a sabertooth was all from fossils. by combining that with the werecat virus pulled from a Siberian tiger werecat and you got... something Xavier wasn't sure would work or not. But that was what experimentation was all about, wasn't it? Trail and error. It worked alright, but there might have been a little too much siberian tiger DNA in the mix, because that one injection had Kitty screaming and writhing in pain as whatever it was her father injected into her shifted her very bones around, it burned as it changed her eye and hair color and bones and muscles shifted around under her skin in that short amount of time. Her head was killing her. She couldn't see straight as she stumbled around, entirely lost and blinded by the agony caused by her still burning and aching eyes she couldn't open just yet. She ended up collapsing, though where she wasn't sure. All she knew was that it was cold and there was a breeze.
She woke up entirely sore. A throbbing headache and aching all over. Eyes opened, but vision blurry, Kitten had no idea where she was, but she knew one thing for sure, she wasn't home. Someone giggled, asking Kitten if she was alright. That was a good question, because at the moment she really didn't know.
The someone that had giggled, the someone that had found her, that was Savannah Lee, a born weretiger from china, just about Kitten's age. Savannah was crazy, claiming to hear and see things no one else did, but aside from that, Savannah was fairly normal. They had talked while Kitten was regaining her vision and Savannah was fairly amused by Kitten's confusion. After all, everything was different to her. Everything sounded different, everything felt different, that pressured strain on her head was gone too. Oddly enough, for all her life up to that point, Kitty had never once looked in a mirror. Her hair had always been tightly tied back and entirely out of her face, so Kitty had never seen even the color of her hair or eyes. She had never known what she looked like, but had never actually cared. After her few-day disappearance, spending the whole time with Savannah, people finally found Kitty, after searching for her the whole time. She looked and sounded so different now not even her own twin had recognized her. They had only been able to tell it was Kitten due to the fact that she was still clothed in what Kitten had been wearing the day she ran off and how she had been slamming away at tins, garbage cans and hallow poles like a drum-set.
After that, Kitten was constantly sneaking out of the house to go see Savannah. As soon as Sera's attention was somewhere else, Kitten was gone. Kitten's escapes out of the house to go see Savannah turned from a few times a week to every day after not much time at all, but that was because Addy suddenly started absolutely refusing to go anywhere near sunlight, always staying inside during the day. Kitty wanted to be free, to run around and play while the sun was out however, so it became daily routine for Kitty to sneak away from Sera's watchful eye to go spend time with her new friend, since no one in the house would play with her now.
Kitty hadn't known what their father had done to her twin, but oddly enough, soon they started arguing, fighting about things. They had never been aggressive toward each other before, though ever since Kitten changed physically she was suddenly aggressive and quick to anger. Kitten was no good with words unless she was singing, so she argued with her fists instead. She was suddenly strongest of her sisters and had a constant need to destroy and break things, to take her frustration out on things. Her music was a quick tool to calm her down and get her to relax, but to Kitty it felt like no one understood her anymore, she had changed, she was different now and no one liked the change according to what her mind told her. She thought her sisters didn't like her anymore, which made Kitten easier to anger around them and why she always hung out around Savannah, because she didn't think Savannah hated her, Savannah seemed to understand it, all things considered.
By 16, things had gotten bad. Suddenly the twins couldn't be in the same room without a fight starting up, then Sera suddenly vanished. Vira was as oblivious as ever, all her attention on Sam and their father was an ass. That was when Kitty decided she was done with her stupid family. Kitty started spending all day and night with Savannah, only going home on rare occasions, whether it was to retrieve something or... no, that's it. She only went home when she needed to get something.
Kitty was 19 when things went from bad to worse. By this time, Kitty had found out her twin had become a vampire thanks to their father, but then... that was when Savannah was killed. By a vampire.
Kitty was mad.
No, not mad. Furious. Kitty was beyond furious and fully fuming, controlling herself from shifting as she stormed back into the house she had called home so long ago and started yelling at Addy for what had happened. Because Addy was a vampire too and the vampires around there listened to her. So then, that meant Kitty was yelling at Addy for it.
Vira had walked in on the middle of their fight, getting them to stop and telling them that their father was dead before asking them where Sera was. Still entirely furious, Kitty didn't much care that her father was gone, good riddance for all she cared. As for Sera? She had walked out on them all because she finally couldn't take being in the same house as the lot of them anymore and hated every last one of them.
Well, at least, that was how Kitty saw it at that moment, given her current state of rage to the point where she could hardly see straight let alone think straight.
Vira dragged Sera home somehow, but Kitty didn't really care at this point. She had decided she was through with her sisters, through with family in general, she was done with it. Kitty officially didn't give a crap anymore. She was done caring. Done with just about everything.
Kitty's ruled the Zoo district for about 2 years now, but she still hasn't gotten past her anger towards her sisters. They all abandoned her some way or another after all.
Kitty would rather do anything else than see her sisters now.
