HISTORY:

Iris Bastet was born an orphan she never knew her real parents and had been adopted as a baby. Her childhood was relatively boring, she would go and play with the horses on the ranch she lived at, this ranch was in Puglia, Italy and she would go to school and do her chores like a good little girl, this was Italy in the 1960’s. All of the tables turned when she turned twelve years old, her adoptive parents decided that it was time that she knew she was adopted and they told her, She didn’t take the news well and her childhood from then on was strange. She felt distant from her adoptive parents, she felt that everything she had ever known was a lie and there was no point for her to be home. So she would spend as much time away from them as possible, She went to school and she still did her chores but she would spend every night that she could at the stables, taking care of her horse. This was the norm for her until she turned 18

One day, When Iris had been going to visit her horse, she saw a boy there. He was handsome and smiled at her often. His name she found out was Amadeo; Even though she had yet to speak to him, she came back every day the same time just too see him, until the fateful day that she came there and he was leaning against the stall for her horse. She stopped and looked at him and he asked her for her name and she told him and then they went riding together. Thus the start of a relationship, if she thought that she was going to the stables a lot before she was there almost all of her time now, just to spend time with him. He made her speak her mind, he made her feel alive. She thought that he would be the one for her.

One day when they had been having a picnic together he told her that he had a surprise and he wanted to share it with her. When he showed her what he was, Iris had been shocked and didn’t really believe him but he proved it to her and she said she wanted to be with him so that she would willingly join him and she did. Before he had turned her he told her that he drank human blood, but Iris had refused, he figured she would change her mind when she was turned so he turned her and Iris hadn’t changed her mind, instead she drank from her horse accidentally killing it. When she woke up from doing this Amadeo was gone. Iris was confused and hurt knowing that she couldn’t go back to her family so she left to go to the states.


She floated around for twenty years going to high school after high school and floating around states until she was drawn to fell’s church, where she met Serrie, Serrie was in her class. Serrie was the best friend Iris could ever find and would do anything to protect her, they had a rocky start, but their friendship was strong. She also met Seth, who saved her without knowing that she wouldn’t actually need saving. Hanging with them brought her out of her shell; also there was the help of her boyfriend. His name was Beau and he made her realize that people didn’t all suck, more like men didn’t all suck.


Life was good like this for awhile, Until Serrie disappeared. Iris constantly blames herself because she should have kept a closer eye on Serrie, she would have if she hadn’t been sulking about the fact that Beau had disappeared
Seth left to go find her and Iris had planned on going right with him, but she was detoured

Iris had left behind him, because she wanted to say good bye to people, some people she thought were important. More importantly she had been looking to say good bye to beau.
She didn’t find him and it made her feel like the world was ending, Serrie was gone and she was looking for a Beau, She hadn’t fed and she had disappeared into the forest. Some Human had been there, and Iris had been so hungry that she fed on the human, almost killing them. So her detour lasted a little bit longer than she would have liked, because in her anger, she killed some of the vampires she found around the outskirts of town. Then she arrived in Black Springs, feeling differently about things and now Seths’second in command, She’s here to find her friend

PERSONALITY:

Iris was always mostly quiet in her life time, she was outgoing in her mind but for some reason she could never really muster up the courage to actually say what she was thinking. shes only met one person who has made her want to be more outgoing and that was the boy who turned her, this was of course before she met Serrie and Seth and others when she had lived in Fell’s church, her personality now is a lot different.
Iris had always been jaded, but that was because the boy who turned her had left for that. This part of her grew more when Serrie left because at the same time, her werewolf boyfriend had just disappeared off the face of the earth. Iris now, the one who is in Black Springs, she is sarcastic and wary always on the lookout for her friend and only seeking to protective, somewhere inside her she is still happy but on the outside she is very cold and doesn’t intend on letting that change. Another important part of her personality is that she dislikes other Vampires, ones that kill and drink human blood. Even though recently she fell victim to it. It makes her hate it even more. There are very few vampires she meets that she actually likes.
