Vira was going to the park. She grinned as she bounced up on down on the grand stair case in her home. She was thinking about maybe flipping down the stairs or somersaulting. Sammy always told her not to do that though. He always told her this. He said she could break her neck, Vira wasn't worried she had broken her neck before..then again that hadn't been fun. No not at all.
Vira shrugged and instead skipped down the stairs. This was still fun and this way nothing ended up broken! See she could use logic sometimes. She was a pretty smart and tough cookie!...Cookies. She really wanted a Cookie now. She wondered if she could get Jensen to make her a cookie before she left...
The swings were calling her though, She could hear them They said Viraaaa Viraaaaa...She giggled. Swings couldn't really talk but Vira liked to pretend sometimes and she was so excited that she was going to be able to go to the park today that she figured a cookie could wait until she got home. It wasn't like Jensen ever left anywhere. All he ever did was moon over daddy and glare every time Eva came over.
Vira grinned. She loved Eva, ever since she had met her she thought there was something interesting about her. She was another person who could deal with her sanity and there were so few of those. She smiled, her sister Sera always had. She understood. Addy and Kitty were always too busy bickering to take the time to understand her. She shrugged it off, no time to think about her sisters.
There were swings that needed to be swung! She grinned and she ran out of of the front door to her house with a grin. Vira was wearing a long flowing dress as usual. She loved long flowing dresses, she thought they made her look more attractive. Not that it would matter anyone but she wore them anyway for herself. She grinned as she smoothed it out, feeling the soft fabric underneath her finger tips. It was a turtle neck with a square cut out around the bust and of course it was purple.
Vira loved Purple, she thought as she grinned. She didn't mind that it was all she could wear, she gladly wore it. Before the experiment that turned her into her current purple self Vira had always been sad that all she could wear was black. Now all she could wear was a bright color!!! It was perfect.
Speaking of Bright colors, she grinned as her great purple wings slid out from her back and she took off into the air closing her eyes and letting the the wind hit her. She loved flying, it was one of the best things about being a Death Angel. To be free was to fly.
She did a flip or two as she zoomed to Just for kids park. She grinned. She had named that place, hell she had named every single place in her district and if people didn't like it they bite a big old monkey butt! She giggled. No! She wouldn't want to do that to one of her Monkey friends. Not that she had any anymore but still, The poor monkeys.
Someone had the bright idea of giving Vira the kids in her district. Vira loved kids she really did but being in charge of them was definitely not a good thing since Vira could barely be in charge of herself, or so everyone she ever met had told her. With the exclusion of Sammy, All Eva ever did was call her psycho and as long as she didn't call her nice. Vira didn't care much.
She grinned, seeing the park and it's swings. She landed carefully near it and smiled as she skipped over to it opening the gate with a creek and then closing it behind her. No one would be here right now, everyone who would be here was in school learning or something like that. Vira didn't really care.
She moved over to the big slide and ran her fingers a long it with a smile. She liked the slide, the slide was pretty and then she moved over to the swings. She grinned and hopped on one without hesitation. She brought herself all the way back and then pushed out with her legs giggling. Then she started pumping her legs and she got higher and higher and higher.
"WEEEEEEE!!!!"she screamed as she pumped more, by now she was swinging so high that she felt like once again that she was flying and she looked around longing to share this with someone to realize no one was there.
That was the trouble when you insane like Vira was, friends were far and few most of the time if you were like her you ended up just swinging on a swing, all alone. Vira frowned at that thought and stopped pumping slowing down almost immediately, what good was a good swing if she had no one to share it with?

Eva was currently eight. It was actually he usual age when she wasn’t with Vira or Sam. Unlike most deathies, she found she couldn’t make herself settle on an age, it was probably something to do with the fact that she was only a half and not naturally born in the slightest. It was fucked up but oh well, she didn’t mind being eight. She actually looked very much so like her mother’s daughter. Her tiny, doll like frame was covered in a dress that looked like it belonged on a doll or a Victorian child with its high collar which was unbuttoned to expose her pale throat, long sleeves and lace every so often. Her wild curly hair, kept cropped an inch short when she was older, was curly and insane, flying in the wind.
She was supposed to be in school. She had decided that was fucked up and she didn’t want to go. Her eyes completed the doll-like look because they appeared so dead after all. She didn’t look real, and she had bitten the last person to reach out and touch her to see if she really was. Hard. He had bled and called her a bitch, she hadn’t cared. Her golden eyes contained the black swirling madness, less now while she was so tiny. It couldn’t take a very strong hold while she was so young. It made her cynical, not mad. Which was good. She didn’t need to be mad all the time, though she still slightly was.
So instead of being in school, Eva was wandering the Winged District in her tiny form, which wasn’t so uncommon around here in the kids area of town. It was actually very common around here. She didn’t mind that, it let her blend in even in her ancient seeming clothes. She scanned the area with her dead seeming eyes, her golden nails constantly clicking together as she did because…it calmed down the girl. She was debating going to see Vira, actually she had gone to go see her slightly insane friend.
Slightly? More like Very.
Anyway, Jensen, her ass of a butler, had turned her away with a scowl. Told her Ms. Vira wasn’t in and looked at her like she was a fucking cockroach, damn she hated him. She had flipped him off and asked aobut Sam because if Sam was in she could bug him endlessly until Vira had gotten back from wherever she had managed to get to. Never knew with her really, she was always off somewhere. But she had been informed that Sam wasn’t in either, and then Jensen had preceeded to slam the door in her face like the butt that he was. She had flipped off the door again and taken off walking again. She’d fly, but the gold on her wings caught more attention than she felt like getting right in that moment, so it was walking just for now until she got to a place where it wasn’t very full.
She just wanted to be alone, or so she told herself. It wasn’t true. She was slowly getting used to not being alone, with how often she was with Vira and Sam, it meant she was actually quite aggravated to be alone, she didn’t like it anymore and she used to. But things were always changing because that was the way that life was, she supposed. She didn’t like it but what could she do about it? Nothing. Instead the tiny eight year old made her way walking around the district.
Until she heard a very distinct weeee that caught her attention.
Eva caught sight of a very purple girl launching herself into the air from a swing and shook her head. Vira would be in the park, wouldn’t she. Eva re-aged herself as she entered the park, slowly going from eight to twenty-four. It didn’t happen in a flash like it did for other death angels, but that was the consequences. Or, one of the many rather but what could she do? Nothing. She was born as what she was and there was nothing that she could do about it. She felt her mass of curly hair recede into her head until it was just an inch short and somewhere around twenty one she knew the gold would slowly appear on the tips until her hair was black with gold frosted tips. She shifted her robe as she aged, making it a loose tank top and sweatpants rather than the dress that had tried to age with her. She had gotten tired of dresses when she was about ten or so, thank you.
She arched a black delicate brow at Vira, standing before her, now fully her age physically if not mentally. Mentally Eva would always feel older than Vira but that wasn’t really all that hard. She shook her head. ”Ya know, I’ve been looking for ya psycho” she told the other girl. She had a feeling if she could feel, she would have been happy to actually find her friend.

Vira really loved swinging on the swings. She always had, even before she was crazy but sitting here and swinging on them alone was making Vira think and when Vira thought, it did no good. It never did any good because then Vira got flashes of things she didn't want to remember things that made her want to hurt herself and others...
Xavier Blake was furiously at work in his lab inside of his lavish home. He was making another potion that he planned on giving to one of his daughters and he was in a wonderful mood because of it. He loved to experiment and his daughters always made the perfect subjects.
"Daddy?"Vira giggled and bounced into the room seeing her father bent over his desk with another potion. She frowned and wondered if the potion was for her. Her daddy was always making potions and giving Vira needles and stuff, telling her that him doing these things was going to make her better, yeah it was going to make her much better. She sighed and walked over to him
"Daddy is that for me? Should I get up on the table again?"she asked in a small voice ready to shift off her dress and get up on the table when he asked her to do so.
"No No Dear...This is for your sister Sera, one of my people think they have found her and are going to bring her back to us...Isn't that wonderful?
Vira frowned deeply, She didn't want Sera to be experimented on. She liked Sera, couldn't it be her instead? She didn't want any harm to come to her sister, she didn't want any harm to come to any of her sisters. She just wanted Daddy to stop doing it.
"Daddy No. Sera doesn't want to be experimented on. She doesn't like it daddy please don't do it to her. Do it to me, I like it. I like the experiments"she pleaded with him, going close to him by his desk as he still stayed hunched over.
"Vira your sister needs to be taught a lesson. We don't run out on family, Now go play. Your just getting in my way here"
Vira frowned deeply. She was getting Very upset. She couldn't let Daddy do this. She couldn't let Daddy Hurt Sera. She needed to do something to stop him. She just didn't know what...She started giggling and then she wrapped her arms around her fathers waist tugging him back
"Daddy Please, Please don't do it! I won't let you hurt her! I can't let you hurt her!!"Xavier didn't care much for what his child was doing so he picked her up and threw her across the room where Vira hit her back against the wall hard.
"DADDY. I SAID NO. YOU WON'T HURT HER."Vira was in great pain but she got up anyway, her emotions were in such a hay wire that the weather outside was starting to change. She felt lightning growing like a ball inside of her hands. She felt it growing and growing until she finally growled and threw it at her father who screamed and fell down to the ground laying there motionless.
Vira blinked, the weather calmed and she walked over to her father, she walked over to him and saw that he was not moving and that he was never going to move again. She giggled loudly as tears slid down her cheeks then she backed up into a corner and sunk down there, her giggling consistent.
Vira snapped out of the little flash back she was having only to notice that someone was talking to her, there were tears sliding down her face now and she had no idea why, the memory she had just experienced was now tucked away and forgotten just like it had been before and she was left dumbfounded at why now she felt so sad and so angry, She knew this because the wind had also picked up now. Her emotions did that sometimes.
When she saw who it was who had been talking to her, She grinned. It was Eva. Oh how she had missed her friend! Apparently Eva had been looking for her. Vira grinned at her happily, she had been looking for her? How grand. She had no idea that Eva had been looking for her and if she had she would have waited for to come see her at the house before leaving to go on the swings.
"You were looking for me?! How wonderful!! You found me!! I'm swinging and It's so much fun especially now that you are here and I am not alone any more! Swinging alone really really sucks!!"She said with a grin as she swung her feet a little bit and pushed on the swing.
"Come!! Come Swing with me!! There's another swing right next to me and we can see who can swing the highest!! I think it will be me because I have the most practice!"she said with a proud smile and a giggle. Even though the tears were still on her face and she could still feel the sadness creeping inside of her. She wasn't going to acknowledge it, after all, she didn't even remember what had upset her in the first place.

So Eva hadn’t been actively looking for Vira. She had been looking for her earlier but after being told off by fricken Jensen her ass of a butler who had totally been in love with her ass of a father Eva had stopped actively looking. She knew that eventually she would find her purple psychotic friend, it was only a matter of time. So why bother searching her out? She had gone back to her absent minded wandering, not bothering to think too hard about where she was going. Vira ran this part of town, techinically because Eva suspected Sam did the actually running, so she was bound to show up somewhere, wasn’t she?
It was her friend’s voice in the park that had proved her right minutes later. She liked being proven right, and despite the way that she acted she liked finding Vira. She rarely admitted anything like that though to herself and never did out loud. But she was happy to find Vira, if you could call it being happy being that Eva was not able to feel anything. But, by her standards, she was less bored to be near Vira, and her psycho self. Vira was easy to be around, Eva didn’t have to be anything but herself and Vira got it. Maybe because in her own way Eva was just as crazy, it was just a different type of crazy. It was an apathetic crazy or something.
She frowned a bit, a forced frown being that she couldn’t naturally, when she saw the tears on Vira’s cheek. Tears she didn’t get. They just didn’t make sense to her. You were so sad that water leaks from your eyes? And you could have tears when you were happy too? That didn’t make any sense. Why would it happen with two totally different emotions? Vira was giggling as she spoke, but when was Vira not giggling? The girl was like a giggle machine so that didn’t mean anything. Not that she seemed bothered by the water on her face at all, but that was normal too. She saw no signs of what had made her best, and admittedly only, friend cry so she didn’t bring it up.
She did walk a bit closer til she was by her and tell her she had been looking for her. Either way, Vira seemed happy to see her and that made Eva feel better, if that was the right words. It was hard to explain the slight murmers that Eva felt where normal people felt their emotions. They existed but they were so dim that usually the tiny girl didn’t even notice them. She didn’t mind. It was better that the gold had killed her emotions and not her after all. So, despite the annoyance at being emotionless, she had to admit to that one.
Vira started going on in her usual babbly way that amused Eva dimly, as amused as she could get. Vira had been the first person to ever get Eva to actually laugh after all. She hadn’t been aware she had been able to make that sound before. ”Yeah, found you…loud mouth. And I bet it sucks, shoulda waited for me” she said in her usual manner. Insulting without meaning to, being impersonal and uncaring without meaning to. Vira usually knew that she didn’t mean it and would just plow right through it like she had said something nice. Unless she called Vir nice, that was when Vira got upset. That was the only thing that actually bothered the nutty woman. So Eva didn’t bother to go down that route, stuck to her usual insults that Vira never noticed.
She rolled her eyes at Vira’s happy chatter but it was a welcome babble. She hated to admit it but she had felt really alone moments before. And while Eva used to be just fine with being alone, recently after spending so much time with Vira and Sam, it managed to change. Now she preferred the company of another person, not being alone. It was weird. She had gone a hundred years without changing. Well, she had always had her boys, her brothers of a sort, but they never counted and usually Eva had gone off on her own anyway. It was weird to not like being alone anymore.
She took the swing next to Vira, feeling all weird. She had never actually sat on a swing before, she wasn’t quite sure she knew how to work it. She got the basic concept, she had seen people swing before, but the metal in Eva’s arms was heavy. She could fly, but she wasn’t entirely sure that she could swing. What if it didn’t work? So she had never tried to actually swing before. Funny, something Vira had over her. Not that Vira wasn’t brilliant and strong and yada yada, but she had the mentality of a child usually so Eva often forgot.
She pushed her feet a little, making the thing swing a bit. ”Yeah I think that’s a bet you’ll win Psycho” she said, uncertainty creeping into her usually blank voice as she tried to figure out how to start this thing. She wasn’t’ sure she wanted to tell Vira that though. She was a defensive child, friends or not.

Vira loved being on swings, she always had loved it so. When she had been a little girl in body as well in mind she would come running towards any park she could find and sit right on the swing and she'd pump her legs till her hearts desire. It was something she loved so so much. Yes yes, she did. She almost asked Sammy to build her a purple swing set to go in the back of the mansion one. She didn't though and for the life of her she couldn't remember why.
That happened a lot with Vira though, she was always forgetting things and then they would randomly pop up later or not, she giggled at that thought. She didn't know how to react otherwise to that. If she was forgetting things then they couldn't be all that important could they? Vira didn't think so and she was pretty sure of that fact...What fact...She giggled. See! She has forgotten again and it didn't matter because she was fine fine fine and she was on a swing!!
She loved swings so much. She blinked, she already thought that hadn't she? Her brain was so weird right now and she didn't know why. She felt so strange. She felt...so sad. She didn't even know why she felt so sad. What was there to be sad about? There was nothing to be sad about! She loved swinging, even if she was swinging a lone.
Wait, she wasn't alone anymore!! Eva was here, Vira was so happy when she had her friend Eva with her, she missed Eva lot when she wasn't around, she had Sammy. Of course she did and she loved Sammy a lot but it had been so long since Vira had a friend that was girl like herself. Most of them didn't like her because she was so special and different. She frowned at that thought but it turned into a smile shortly after. That was what great about Eva, she liked Vira just the way she was.
Vira smiled as Eva said that she should have waited for her, See! that was what she had meant. Eva actually wanted to be around her, she didn't just want to play with the cool stuff in her house or hear creepy stories about how her dad used to be to her and to all of her sisters. A lot of people had wanted this from her and she never understood it until Sammy explained it to her and now she knew what to look for when people came to talk to her if she remembered that was. Which most of the time she didn't.
Eva was different, she didn't want any of that, that was one of the reasons that she loved being around her. "Oh Eva you are so right! I should have waited but the swings were calling me! They wanted me to come and swing on them and now that you found me and the swings you can swing too and be part of the wonderful experience!"
Vira watched Eva sit on the swing like she was scared of it and Vira giggled a bit. She loved this, She loved swings and she loved looking at her dearest friend sitting on a swing with her. Even though Vira could feel a nagging sadness in the back of her mind, she refused to acknowledge it. She was going to have so much fun just sitting her with her friend and have a good time.
Eva said that Vira would win that contest of who could swing the highest and Vira giggled, she liked winning things. Winning things were very very fun. She giggled again and started swinging back and forth but only slightly, not enough so that she was going to be pick up a lot of speed.
"You are right! I probably will win but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't do it anyway! It will be so much to see who could go the highest even if it is going to be me, then we could take off flying into the air. It's the perfect Launch!!she giggled a bit and started picking up speed pumping her legs as fast as she possibly could go and she giggled even higher as she did it. Sure she was getting a head start by doing it but she was sure that Eva would catch up with her. She was Eva, She could do anything!

Eva was actually..somewhat happy to find her friend. Why just somewhat? Because it was the most that Eva could feel. Emotions came to her sometimes, but they were pale imitations of the real thing and always too far out of her reach for her to really grasp them for herself. It was like they were always on the other side of the glass and she just couldn’t touch them no matter how hard she tried to. No matter how much she wanted it. No one gave a shit about how much you wanted something though. She had learned that fact a long time ago.
But with Vira, she felt kind of normal. Not cause Vira was so bizarre. But because Vira didn’t expect Eva to feel and be all normal, she just kind of took Eva at her face value and never pushed too hard. That wasn’t something Eva got very often. And Eva was used to dealing with crazy. The boys she used to run with used to always be entirely mad, because they were only half death angels, so she was good at dealing with crazy and it helped. Because Vira was her own special brand of crazy. But Eva knew how to deal with it, and that was just by treating her like everyone else. Maybe a bit more delicately at times, but usually by not going out of her way to treat the other girl like a freak.
Eva knew how it felt to be treated like a freak. It wasn’t a fun feeling.
Which was why she liked being around Vira so much. Yeah, it was good for Vira to have a female friend who wasn’t just out to protect her and to have someone who got what she was going through and all of that lovely stuff. But it also helped Eva because it made her feel a bit less like a freak. Mostly because Vira usually treated her just like she treated everyone else she liked. It was a refreshing feeling. Plus, science experiments had to stick together, even if Vira was only one because of her father and not because she had been born in a test tube. Eva always found herself drawn to other people who had been experiments, it made it easier to cope with her herself being one too. She wasn’t alone, it was a comforting thought.
Which was why she told Vira she should have waited for her in that quiet, unemotional way of hers. It was all she could be. Eva shook her head. Of course Vira thought the swings were calling her. Eva wasn’t sure if she meant that like normal people did, like oh that cake is calling me from the fridge, or if she thought they were literally calling her from somewhere where swings had a voice. Eva decided it was just best not to ask. ”Glad I found you then” was all she said as she sat down with her only real friend. On a swing. She wasn’t sure how to admit to Vira that she had never been on swings before. She decided to keep it to herself.
It wasn’t like she had had a seriously normal childhood like most other people. Oh, she was sure her mother would have put her on swings, hell Eva probably had been on them a few times before she ran away at eight years old. That was kind of the problem here. She had never gotten a normal childhood, and the little smidge of one had been washed away by time. So the notion of swinging on a swingset, or even how to do it was entirely lost to her. And she had a feeling her crazy friend would try to teach her. She also had a feeling that wouldn’t end too well. It was a very strong feeling, that one.
So she kept it to herself.
Which was what had lead her to admitting that Vira would probably win if they had a swinging contest or anything like that. Because it was hard to win if you didn’t know how to do it in the first place. Right? Right. She shook her head and kicked her feet a little, pushing the swing a bit. Which was when Vira said she probably would win. Eva snorted, the sound was off but she knew it was the sound she was supposed to make. Trust Vira to be that blunt rather than following social conventions. Hell, Eva was pretty positive that Vira didn’t even know what social conventions were. Not that she minded ,Eva kinda liked her best friend just the way that she was, as sappy as that sounded.
”Sounds like fun” was all she said as she watched her friend get higher and higher on the swing. Part of her was jealous. She wished she could feel that free.

Vira was so happy that she had her friend here now. She loved Eva, even if she was her only other friend apart from Sam and they never get along she loved Eva so much because Eva never really treated her like she was a complete nut case! Even if she was...Eva never did anything but call her psycho.
Today had been a good thing! She thought quietly as she sat there on the swing, she had had come here and decided she wanted to swing and she had been feeling lonely and....then there was Eva! The parts in between that were completely blank to Vira though, she had no idea what had gone on while she waited for Eva to show up and it was bothering her because it was making her feel sad again to think about it and Vira didn't like sad at all. She liked happy! Happy was the best emotion in the world because happy meant that there was nothing wrong with anyone and everything was okay and no one was being killed and no one hurt or anything...
So yes Happy was good, happy was the best thing in the world! She grinned over at her friend who was just sitting on the swing with a sad face and it wasn't because of she was actually sad. Not that Vira could tell or anything like that. It was just her usual expression an expression of blank sadness.
Eva said she was glad she found her and Vira beamed at her friend. She loved that Eva was glad that she found her because she was glad that she found Eva...Well she hadn't found Eva Eva had found her because Vira had been the one that was sitting on the swings all by her lonesome. She was silly sometimes!
"I'm so glad that you are happy that you found me! Because I am so happy you are here. I miss you so much when you aren't with me or Sammy. You should be around foreverrrr"she said with a bit of a giggle.
Vira wondered what her friend was thinking as she sat there on the other swing. But she wondered about it and she wondered if she could do something about it. She had decided that she was not going to ask her though because even though she was wondering about it she didn't really want to know. Vira liked not knowing things sometimes because when she doesn't know things then she can' t be sad about whatever it was because a lot of things made her sad.
She had said they would have a contest and she was so excited about it when she took off into the air with a pump of her legs going higher and higher every time that she went but what she noticed was that even though Eva had said that it sounded like fun she wasn't moving and Vira slowed herself down so that she could see what the problem was.
"What's the matter? Are you trying to give me a good head start? Cus I don't need you to do that silly! I am perfectly good at swinging and I am guna beat your butt!"she said with a giant giggle and she swung herself a bit more just so she could keep herself moving because the more she moved the less sad that she felt. She didn't want to be sad and she didn't want her friend to be sad either
"Come on It will be soooo fun!"she said with a big grin another giggle. It would be so much fun that was something that Vira was sure of. [/color]
