Serenity gave no thought to the possibility that laying on the grass may be staining her clothes. She didn’t care. Clothes weren’t important to her. Their only job was to prevent people from touching her. Serenity didn’t like being touched. Which was why she was a phobia case. And was also why she was currently wearing socks that went up to her knees under converse that were being held together by ducttape and jeans that were nice and baggy…no excess skin showing. She was wearing a tank top though…somewhere buried underneath the mens button down shirt and hoodie that incased her form. Serenity actually had a passably nice body. But no one ever saw it because of the way that she swaddled herself up in layers to keep people from touching her. Her long blonde and blue hair spread out around her like a bizarre halo as she lay on her back, looking up at the sky. Well, looking up at the sky through the lens of her camera. Her hair was always down too, to protect her face.
Serenity was such a phobia case.
She had skipped group therapy today. She had skipped her extra therapy. She had even skipped breakfast back at A House because she didn’t feel like doing all that today. Today was a camera type of day. Because it was cold, but that meant that the world was beautiful. The leaves were changing colors, and the earth gave one last hoorah before dying for the winter. She had artfully caught leaves skittering through the air like a new type of bird with her camera. The big clunky thing. It was ancient, not one of those new digital things. She didn’t like technology much either. Give her nature and the girl was happy.
There was another reason she had skipped all her sessions today though. She knew what the shrink would want to talk about. Last session she had accidently mentioned Colin. Even thinking about him made her chest all tight and tears come to her eyes. Colin. She missed him so much…he probably thought she had ran again. Serenity was a nomad, always running. But she had finally settled down because of him. Because he was helping her come out of her shell…but now she was here because some teacher had noticed the way she flinched away from everyone. Apparently it was for her own good. She doubted that. She didn’t care eiher. She just wanted to get back to the boy she loved…and she didn’t want to talk about him with a bunch of bitches who wouldn’t understand. How could they understand? Most of them really were crazy. They didn’t have love or something like that.
Serrie had it. And now it was gone.
Dammit she missed him…She sniffled a bit and wiped her eyes before going back to her camera. She had needed the distraction. She needed not to think about him. It had been a year, a year today since she had seen him. It had been going so well too…he had understood her. He had been helping her control her wayward gift because he was a Witch too. It had been so perfect. And than it had fallen apart, all because she hadn’t thought to keep moving…to keep going…it was so unlike her to fall asleep out in the open like that, but she had. What was wrong with her? Ugh. She suspected she’d been drugged but she didn’t dare tell anyone that. Start looking paranoid around here and she’d get bumped to C house with the real crazies.
It was bad enough that when she was first here she had been put in B house with the semi functioning nutters. It had only been because she had screamed every time someone touched her or came near her. Okay…so she had been a bit of a mess before. But could you realy blame her? No, not really.
Good behavior had put her back at A house at least. She liked being there…most of the people there were sane. It made living in this hell hole a little bit easier. It made her feel a little bit less insane. Because every day that past she felt like she was losing it more and more. Maybe it was because she had no one to talk to anymore…Funny, before she had settled down in Fells Church for a bit, she would have jumped at this place. They helped her with her gift and helped her with her phobia, it would have been paradise. But she had made a home there. And she wanted it back. She wanted him back more than anything else.
She turned her attention back to her photography, but now her light was off. She paused for a moment, freezing when she realized someone was near her. Serenity was skittish. She looked up to see another person. ”Erm…hate to be a bother. But yer standin’ in me light” she said quietly, in her thick Irish accent. She hated talking to people more than necessary. It was just the way she was.

Raea usually didn't wake up at a "normal" time, like 7 am or 8:30. No she didn't sleep and when she did she didn't sleep very long. Depression can do that to a girl, pregnancy can double that. She rolled onto her back and looked up at the ceiling, she looked tired, she was sure she did. She rarely got more than five hours of sleep a night, and in the morning she'd throw up whatever she ate the night before. The witch put her hand on her stomach and closed her eyes again. Poor thing would never know her father, and Raea wished she did. She wanted Pride to be there with her but Raea knew it would be a lost cause...She never lost that hope though. Dana barked a few times and Raea decided it was time to get up. She sat up and grumbled a bit, sitting up was getting a bit harder. She looked at Dana and saw that the dog was holding a red leather leash. "Puppy wants to go outside?" Dana nodded and Raea stood up out of bed. "Alright lovely give me five minutes." Raea grabbed a hair brush and quickly ran it through her hair, then put it up into a messy bun. She didn't feel like doing anything special. She never did. She used magic to clean up her face and she pulled on a black cami, then put an odd purple hoodie on with the word NIKE on it. Anything to hide the baby bump, and this hoodie did a good job. She then pulled on the jeans that could fit over her three month pregnant stomach and sat back down on the bed. She was exhausted, she couldn't help it. She needed and wanted sleep. Why didn't it come to her like it did back in Tulsa? "Raea Love..."There it was again! She looked around the room and cursed at herself for being so stupid. She really should just ignore the voice in her head. It wasn't normal, and she didn't want to go into the B houses, even IF Miyuki was there. She tied on her converse and rubbed her stomach before standing up. She grabbed the crap copper wand and looked at it. Twelve inches of pure CRAP was what this was. The stones weren't even real diamond or emerald they were the fake shit you bought at Clarie's or Disneyland. She couldn't even call this a wand she called it crap! She wanted her silver wand, she wanted her wand that Mandy took, the Witch Bitch. That wand was made by her mother, she also wanted her spell book. She missed a lot of things Mandy took as "payment". Dana barked and Raea sighed, "Alright Dana let's go." So they left and Raea blinked a bit at the sun. She had only been there a month and she didn't really leave her room. Ki tried to get her out but the only thing that she did was get a blue butterfly tattoo on her hip..Not smart when you're pregnant but she could fix the tattoo with magic later. She walked into the park and just let Dana lead her, letting the dog sniff the grass and roll around. Dana liked it here at least, she was happy. Raea wanted to be happy like Dana. Guess she just had to learn to like it. A female voice filled her ears and Raea looked up to see a blonde girl with a camera in her hands. Raea felt her cheeks go bright red and she smiled sheepishly, "Sorry, didn't watch where I was going." Raea quickly moved out of the girl's way, tugging Dana along with her. She stopped short when her stomach flipped and she tried hard not to throw up. Damn. Words: 641 Outfit: {CLICK}Muse: I am not responsible for any sniffing, tears or crying or anything Pride says while reading this post...And she didn't throw up at the end just looks like she might. Silently, Serenity pulled the camera away from her face. She did it slowly as well, as if she were reluctant to move to quickly. As if moving was such a chore for her. Because it was some days. Some days…Serenity just didn’t want to bother. This hadn’t been one of those days originally of course, but it had become one as soon as she had lay down in the grass with her camera. That had definantly turned it into one of those days. Originally she had wanted to move, wanted to do something…anything to distract her from the absence of Colin and the absence of the life she wanted back so desperately. But now…she was content to lay here and forget about that. The therapists called it depression. Serrie called it pathetic. She liked her version better personally.
She still pulled the camera away from her face to study the girl who had, moments before, been in her light. She wasn’t any longer, of course, but that was because Serrie herself had spoken up about her lack of light. The other girl didn’t look too good, but Serenity wouldn’t comment on that, she wasn’t the type to get in other people’s business if she could help it. The girl looked familiar, with her brown and blue hair and blue eyes that always seemed so sad, and it took Serenity a moment to piece together that the girl was in her House. A house. Well that was a relief at least, it meant that the girl with her wasn’t a psycho. ”’Tis fine” she replied quietly with her thick accent, taking another long moment before she spoke again. Serenity wasn’t slow, she was actually quite brilliant, she just hated speaking. ”I’m Serrie, we’re in the same house, we are,” she said softly, as if to let the girl know that she wasn’t insane either.
Well not terribly insane anyway.
Sometimes Serenity felt far more insane than her A status showed her to be. Sometimes she thought she belonged with the nutters that were confined in the Asylum that sat in the center of the town. She certainly wasn’t as powerful as half of the people in here either way. She didn’t even have a caster like most witches. Her Ma, who had taught her her craft before the…accident…had never used one, so why should she? She knew her magic well enough to do without it thank you. And she figured that she did well enough. Besides, she was enough of a freak as it was with her crossed wires, she didn’t need to be practicing her magic any more than was necessary, it only led Serenity to trouble when she didn’t need any.
Serenity felt bad just laying there when the other girl next to her seemed so sick. Dimly, Serenity wondered what was wrong with her. Must be nauseous or something. Whatever, some people got that some days, Serenity blamed the food. Or the meds. Or the people. There were a lot of things to blame around here if one was feeling sour enough to do it. And usually Serenity found herself feeling more than sour enough to do it, trust you me. She shook her head a bit. She had to like the girl at least a little bit if she was skipping group therapy too. Because that was where their house was supposed to be as far as Serenity could figure. She didn’t much pay attention if she could help it. Either way, it gave her props in Serenity’s mind. ”Sitting down may help the…ah…need to hurl” she said softly once more, talking even if she usually didn’t talk quite as much as she was currently.
Serenity lifted the camera right back to her face either way. She wanted to see if she could catch anything else interesting in the sky before some eejit Warden came by and dragged her bodily right back to her room or therapy or something. It had happened to the little Irish lass before, sadly. She hated it but it happened. A few quick shots of the sky and the interesting cloud formations that always managed to form over head. She wondered if it was the high concentration of magic around here that did that, or if it was something else. Who knew? It could be both.
Another thought about this girl that had ended up in her light came to mind and Serenity smiled, just a little bit. It was just a tugging at the corners of her mouth. Serenity paid attention, see. She would rather watch other people than actually participate in the real world and the life all around here. ”I may be mistaken, but I believe…yer the other witch missin’ a loved one on the outside, aye?” It might have seemed like Serenity was asking this to the open air above her, seeing as she never took the camera away from her face and she never moved her gaze from above. But she figured the other witch was smart enough to know where this little question was addressed.

Raea looked at the girl and felt like she knew her, sort of. It was one of those 'I know you but I can't remember you' feelings. Raea didn't like that feeling, to her it felt rude and she just didn't like telling people she couldn't remember their name. Luckily this girl introduced herself. Serrie, nice name. Raea smiled a bit and Dana walked over to the girl, not touching her but trying to sniff her. "Nice to meet you Serrie, I'm Raea, and we are in the same house." Rae smiled when she said that. A house was a very safe, very sane house, although she wished her best friend was in the same house with her, she didn't like knowing that Ki was in B house. Where all the crazies were...this town was full of crazies, Raea didn't like being here, she wanted to get out, but a tight bracelet on her hand kept her from leaving. That damned bracelet was keeping her from him. Keeping her from returning to him, telling that witch bitch off and being happy...She wanted to leave, this was no place to raise a child. She stuck her hands in her sweater pockets and lightly pressed her fingers against her stomach. She missed him, two things were keeping her from killing herself, Ki, and the baby. But in this environment Raea wondered if she'd even have the baby for long, well, she lasted for a month and she didn't lose it, just six more. Until she had to raise the poor thing in this rotten existence, no father, just her mother and a crazy aunt who'd corrupt the child and help her tease her clumsy mother. She was surprised how well her balance was, but maybe in a month or so she'd be tripping everywhere. Where was Pride when you needed him to catch you when you fell? The young witch must have looked awful because Serrie commented on the need to hurl. Raea nodded and sat down near Serrie, but still out of her light, she leaned over and put her head on the grass in front of her, Dana sniffing her hair and licking her ear "Dana I love you but lie down." Dana nodded and lied down, her head near Raea's. She felt her stomach flip and twist and she tried hard not to see her dinner from last night. She sighed when the wave of nausea past and she sat back up and rubbed her face. Kid wasn't even born yet and it was kicking her ass. Ki would be laughing. Raea kept her left hand in her sweater pocket, her right hand pressed on the grass. She missed him. She wanted to talk to him, to hear his voice, hell she'd give everything to see him one more time. She closed her eyes and just listened to the world around her, tuning out the crazies and just listened to the world around her. That's what witches loved. They loved being surrounded by nature, even if it wasn't their specialty, Raea being clairvoyant, she still loved it. Her mother and father took her on picnics a lot and they taught her everything she knew... They must be worried sick. Serrie commented on something and Raea's eyes opened to look at the girl. Missing a loved one. Raea looked at the pentagram necklace resting on her chest and nodded. "Yeah... I am... He'll be missing out on more though..." She lied down on the grass and put her other hand in her sweater pocket. Her fingers interlocked and Raea sighed. "I watch him sometimes, just to see how he is... but I don't watch for long..." She hoped the witch understood her "stalking" her love. But, as she said, she could never watch for long, it hurt her too much. Pride looked miserable and Raea couldn’t stand it. She knew it was Mandy’s fault Raea was here but deep down Raea felt like she made Pride miserable by disappearing and not telling him…Maybe that Witch Bitch told Raea’s parents and boyfriend that she committed suicide or something. Maybe if she didn’t have Ki and the baby… Words: 700 exactly Muse: Have I said how much I HATE LG Raea's depression? But it does make for good paragraphs to make my posts longer, XD eh, good and bad side to it all Outfit: CLICK

Serenity approved of the fact that the other girl stayed out of her light still even when she sat next to her. It also meant that she still wasn’t in Serenity’s “bubble”, aka her personal bubble. Serenity was a chirophobe. She didn’t let people touch her, and it wasn’t some stupid superficial reason either, it was for a good reason. She didn’t need her sight getting set off and having her see some part of this Raea girl’s future or past, thanks. It was annoying enough back in Fells Church where it was abnormal, here it would just make her seem worse than crazy and she liked A house. She liked it a lot because it kept her with the more sane people around here, a fact that the other girl seemed to appreciate, Raea, she said her name was.
Serenity took a few quick shots, for all the world acting like she was entirely ignoring the girl next to her, but some people didn’t mind that. Some people liked how quiet and calm Serrie was, they said it made them feel more relaxed, more at ease. It was why most people actually told her things, things about themselves and their pasts…Serenity was easy to open up to because she was quiet and just there, and she would never judge anyone, how could she after all the things she had been through? Also, Serenity rarely spoke because she didn’t like how much her accent made her stand out, especially here where not many others had an accent.
The girl, Raea, said Dana and Serenity blinked. Dana? It was then that the girl noticed that the other witch had a dog. She smiled a bit, she didn’t mind animals, they didn’t set off her sight and it was nice to be able to touch something living from time to time. Pretty dog . She looked up in time to see Raea lost in thought and the look of longing on her face…well…Serrie couldn’t help but snap another quick shot with the tiniest of smiles catching on the corners of her lips. It was something that she did, she saw a shot and she took it, and this was no exception. She hoped the other girl wouldn’t mind, and chances are Serrie wouldn’t do anything with it when she developed the film, because yes this was an old school camera and not digital, she’d simply slip it under Raea’s door, being that they lived in the same house so she could do that.
Serrie knew the other girl looked at her when she commented on how she knew a bit about Raea, considering group therapy shit was usually with people who had similar problems, but she didn’t acknowledge it. Serrie didn’t even move from staring up at the sky from behind the lense of her camera. She didn’t think the other witch would mind much. She nodded a bit at the other girl’s comment. ”Aye, can be a helpful thing, clairvoyance. Mine’s more’o a curse, if ye ask me,” she commented a bit sourly. She was a touch clairvoyant, she hadn’t been when she had been born but shock had…crossed her wires so to speak. She didn’t know how to handle it and it made her jumpy and afraid of people touching her. She didn’t need to see what they thought, what they were going to do or had done. She didn’t want to see.
Because sometimes, the things she saw wouldn’t leave, sometimes they were horrible and sometimes they were sad. She didn’t want that burden, the burden of other people’s pasts and futures. And she never spoke on it unless she deemed it necessary. She rarely deemed it necessary.
And now the pair of them were laying on the grass, both lost slightly in thought it seemed, both missing their loved ones who weren’t with them anymore, they were on the outside in the real world. She wished she was outside in the real world…it would make life so much better…but she couldn’t figure out how to get out there, and she didn’t want the whole bracelet thing on her arm, so she stayed a Volens and didn’t try to break free even if part of her longed for it so fiercely.
Her old camera sometimes had a mind of it’s own though. And the cap popped off, towards Raea. She swore softly and out of habit didn’t look when she reached for it. And her hand brushed Raea’s stomach, somehow managing to catch a bare expanse of skin. She had her sleves up to work with her camera, so her hands weren’t covered…it was skin to skin touch…dammit! She pulled her hand back like it was on fire, clutching it to herself, but it didn’t stop the feeling, it didn’t stop the numb from creeping up her arms, and it didn’t stop her eyes from going entirely white as she Saw.
Strangely though, she saw nothing of this girl with her, instead it was a quick flash, nothing big, nothing huge, it was just a little girl, somewhere around 4…Serrie couldn’t really make out the details and she didn’t try to, because she hated Seeing with a firey passion and avoided it as much as she could. But this was interesting….until she saw Raea in the background. Ah. So Raea was pregnant…that was what she had said earlier had meant.
Coming back to the real world, her eyes returning from seeing and the storm colored orbs reappearing slowly as if coming out of the mist. She turned her head just slightly to study the girl next to her…and then she decided to speak. ”It’s a girl, ya know” she said softly before going back to her photography like she hadn’t said a think at all.

Raea was kind of glad she skipped group therapy, she didn’t really like it, she didn’t really need it but according to her file she was a depression case, she was only depressed because she was IN this place! She was perfectly fine before this and now she was falling to pieces, like a glacier in the north, just slowly crumbling away. Some people here cared about her, like her sister, but others here just didn’t want to be here either. At least Raea had a sane person running her district, although from the rumors she heard that Miss Sera Blake wasn’t as sane as she led on. Powerful, yes, sane….probably not as sane as people would like her to be. Serrie talked a bit on being clairvoyant and Raea raised an eyebrow a bit. She could see how it can be a curse, but Serrie sounded like she hated it. Dislike Raea could understand, but hate your power? Sure Raea saw things she didn’t want to see but she just tried to forget about it by doing something happy or fun, and she stopped thinking about it. Would it creep back up later? Sometimes, but she never thought on it later. She just went on with her life, or tried to now. It was hard to get up out of bed in the morning and continue with your life, knowing that the reason for living was outside of BS. BS…perfect initials for this damn city. Bull Shit, perfect name for the town, better than Black Springs…Ah well, Raea didn’t think on it much, she just looked at the stupid bracelet on her wrist and glared at it, hoping her stare will cause it to somehow break off. It didn’t, and she knew nothing could. Raea sighed and looked up to the sky, wishing somehow that she could be outside of this world and in the better one…Then again, this city was hidden away from the rest of the world, away from the wars that threatened to start, but this city had its own war in here, the four leaders of the four districts, the only neutral ground was in the center of the city, which was where Raea and Serrie were right now. Raea sighed and closed her eyes, letting her thoughts drift elsewhere. Chocolate filled her nose and she breathed deeply, chocolate sounded really good right now but she didn’t have any, and she didn’t really like it much now, baby made sure of that. Baby also made Raea want oranges and she hated those. Dana walked over to Raea’s face and licked her forehead a few times, then lied down next to her again and rested her chin on Raea’s middle, tail wagging happily. Raea moved one hand from her sweater and started scratching Dana’s ear, the soft puppy fur feeling nice under her fingers. Dana let out a strange purring sound and Raea let out a small giggle. She was glad to have Dana around, not only as her familiar but as her friend. Dana was more like her sister in some ways, because Dana knew when Raea was sad, and that was often, and she knew how to cheer her up too. Raea looked over to Serrie and saw that the cap to her camera popped off and flew toward her. Raea didn’t have time to grab it before Serrie as her hand reached for it. Her hand brushed against Raea’s stomach and she felt skin touch skin, making Raea freeze slightly. Serrie’s hand shot away from Raea so fast if she blinked she couldn’t have seen it. Raea wached Serrie and now realized why Serrie hated being a clairvoyant. She was a touch clairvoyant, and Raea felt bad for the witch now, she couldn’t touch anybody now… which was why she was wearing so much clothing. Raea started to push herself up off the grass but she nearly puked and lied back down, letting her stomach just lie flat. Raea hated this sometimes; she just wished this morning sickness would go away and leave her alone! Raea saw Dana walk over to Serrie and try to get her attention, but Serrie’s eyes were white as she Saw whatever of Raea’s future or past would be. They waited for either a few minutes or a few moments, Raea didn’t really want to count the minutes to hear her future, so she just closed her eyes and put her hands back on her stomach. Dana just put her paws on Serrie and barked a bit, trying to get her attention. Serrie spoke to Raea and what she said made Raea feel… happy, truly happy. A girl, Raea’s brain started going a mile a minute, wondering what she’d look like and how she’d act. Would she be like her father and want to know everything or would she be like her mother and be quiet and reserved, would she have her father’s deep blue eyes (ones Raea would LOVE to see again) and have his hair? All these questions ran through her mind. She wanted to know more about her now, she wanted to see her future, but…At the same time, Raea wanted to be surprised, she wanted to see what fate had in store for her and this baby, now she just needed a name. But first… “Thank you.” She said to Serrie. She truly meant it, and she just felt so much better, but she knew it wouldn’t last long once she remembered about dear old Daddy back in the real world. Serenity hated to See. She hated her ability. She hated that she couldn’t touch anyone. She used to be a wild child, free as anything and quick to laughter. She used to run around the fields around her house like a Fey and wouldn’t come home til her mother started yelling for her from the garden. Serrie always stayed close enough to hear her mother if she called. In that respect, she had been a very good girl, always listening to her Mama. No matter what, her mother and she all they had were each other and Serenity held that very near and dear to herself, always listening.
And then her mother had died. And Serenity had been forced to watch the life drain from her eyes and struggle as she herself was bitten again…and again…her own screams came to her ears as she frowned, thinking about it. That was when Serenity stopped being the girl she used to be. That was when she became this shy withdrawn girl she was and the shock had made her wires cross. Absently she rubbed a hand along her forearm where numerous scars hid. Bite scars. Wonderful. She frowned again but this was when the cap to her camera had managed to pop of and she reached for it without thinking.
And that was when she saw Raea’s child and came to the realization that the other girl was pregnant, she had seen her child’s future, not Raea’s. Interesting. She had never tried to See on a pregnant woman before. In truth, she never tried to see at all.
The girl came back to the real world and smiled a bit seeing the pup on her a little, even if she had barked. Serenity liked animals, they never set her off, you couldn’t see the future of an animal so she could touch them as much as her heart desired to and it was nice to be able to touch someone or something every once in a while that lived. Other wise she felt so alone…the only person she had ever been able to touch before was Colin… She didn’t want to think about him too much though, it would only upset her which she also couldn’t afford, not here. She was happy at A HOUSE and didn’t want to be moved back to B. It wasn’t nice over there if you asked her.
Then she told the other girl what she saw and had to smile a bit when the other girl seemed so happy. Well, her ability could do some good sometimes, just for everyone but her. It never did her any good. But she wouldn’t be sour about it, not again. Not again. She shrugged a bit when she was thanked though. Why thank the weird chirophobe just cause she told you what gender your baby was? Well, maybe it was more important to her. Serrie had never been pregnant or around anyone that was pregnant so she couldn’t say herself. ”Yer welcome” she said with a small smile, capping her camera.
She was happy that the other girl seemed so happy when she had previously seemed so dreary. At least she could do something about this. ”Are there any foods that bug ye? Er ones ye crave?” she asked curiously. Little known fact was that Serrie took care of their house when it came to food. She cooked, she bought the groceries. She let their foster take the credit though, it didn’t matter much to Serrie either way, but knowing someone in her house was pregnant…she’d be more careful as to what she picked. She wanted to make sure that the other girl was alright, now that she had seen the child.
Serenity was partial to children, even if they tended to touch without thinking.
The question probably seemed random and out of the blue, to anyone that didn’t know what Serenity did for their house. But, It was one that she felt like she was obligated to ask her now that she knew more about another person whom she lived with.

When Serrie looked at Dana that was when the dog decided that Serrie liked her and the puppy's tail wagged. She climbed onto Serrie's legs and begged to be pet, her big brown eyes growing wider and a small whine leaving her throat. Raea giggled slightly at her familiar. She was a sweet puppy, never really was aggressive. She loved her puppy and she patted her dog's head, giving the dog some of her leftover energy. Raea had a lot of that since she didn't cast many spells. She also tried to stop Seeing in her bathroom mirrors to see what Pride or her family was doing. Too painful. She felt her mood drop a bit at the thought of her love and her family. She missed them, but she sort of hoped that he'd find her. In all honesty if she could see him once more she'd be fine, but she can't. Just had to watch from afar, she guessed. But Serrie told her that she was having a baby girl and that just brightened Raea's day, well, what was left of it, seeing as she woke up late that day. She wanted to get back to waking up at 8 am, she liked getting up then. She had a whole day ahead of her, with things to do and people to see...Now she just wanted to stay in A House away from the crazies. But then Ki would get bored so she went out with Ki so she'd have, A) Something to do, and B) Spend time with her sister. Serrie said welcome and Raea nodded slightly, falling back into that comfortable silence. Serrie spoke again, asking what foods she was craving. Raea giggled and sighed a bit "I usually hate oranges but I've been craving them, probably wouldn't be able to finish it since I can't stand them but this girl wants them. I also love chocolate, but I've always been a chocoholic." She cut off her answer there, she could have continued, but then she'd be babbling, and she didn't want to babble, sometimes people looked at her funny after she talked too much, besides she didn't really feel like talking a lot. Nothing to say most of the time. She wondered why Serrie asked the question then remembered that their Foster was an ass and did jack shit. "You make the meals right? They're really good. No complaints." And she had none. She just threw up every morning after she ate them, and they WERE good. She just wished she could enjoy them and not have them come back up again. "Sorry for asking if you did, I haven't been sleeping normal hours." Raea felt her cheeks turn red and she didn't try to hide the blush. It became a habit now, not hiding it, since Pride loved it so much. Raea took a strand of her hair and twirled it between her two fingers, examining the strands. It was growing a bit faster and thicker, she had more of it, which was starting to become a pain in the ass. Split ends and long hair was never good, she'd need a haircut soon. Though she liked it long, she didn't want it too long. She put the strand back behind her ear and sighed, now missing Cris. She thought of Cris for a moment, wondering what she'd say if she knew Raea was pregnant with her niece. She knew if Cris was alive she'd help corrupt the poor child. Enough of thinking depressing thoughts, she didn't want to be depressed anymore. She wanted to be happy, but here that seemed like it'd be a hard thing to do. Outfit: HereWords: 664? ”Aye, babies’ll do that to ye” she said, absentmindedly as she thought. It was hard to cook for pregnant women, specially if they were so early on in the pregnancy as Raea obviously was if Serenity hadn’t been able to tell that the other girl was pregnant at all, it made the morning sickness worse. Not that it ever just hit a person in the morning of course, that was just what it was called, the misnomer was annoying to most first time mothers. So Serenity knew that, for the young mother’s sake, she’d have to be careful about what she made from now on.
How did Serenity know so much about mothers when she hadn’t had very long with her own? Well she herself had never been pregnant if that was what you were thinking. Serenity had only ever been kissed! There was no chance of her going far enough that a baby was possible. No, it was due to her own mother that she knew so much. Her mother had a talent for earth, it was the element that the woman called on top of being a weak clairvoyant. Serenity’s mother was amazing if you asked the young girl. Anyway, their town had been poor, so Serenity’s mother had been the hedgewitch of a sort and midwife to all. She knew the herbs that could quiet a stomach and sooth a child, for a moment, Serenity wracked her brain for them.
Personally, it didn’t bother Serenity that Raea babbled a bit, as she pet her familiar absently because the puppy seemed sweet enough and wanted the attention that Serenity was happy to give. Raea babbling meant that Serenity could think about what the heck these herbs were so she could do this right and do her mother credit like any good daughter was supposed to do. Right? Hmm, what were they again? And then it came to her, and one of Serrie’s very rare smiles came to her face. It made her feel better to think that she could remember things like that, she had never really paid attention as a child after all, so it was a credit to her mother’s patience that she had absorved anything at all.
Serrie shook hr head, the movement feeling weird against the back of her head because she was still laying back on the grass. ”Aye, I do make’em. No need to worry bout blushin’ and such” she said with a small smile to the other girl. ”Me mum…” she trailed off at mention of her mother, but took a deep breath and kept going after that, she needed to keep speaking, her mother wouldn’t always be a sensitive topic, right? She started again. ”Me mum used ta help mothers all the time. I know some herbs and such I can add t’the meals that may help the sickness if ye want?” she asked absently, keeping the pride at remembering this from her voice.
Serenity was now sucked into her own little world, camera or not, as she stared up at the sky. What was she thinking about? Well, for once it wasn’t about Iris or Seth or…Colin who she missed so dearly. For once it was about her mother, those thoughts she usually tried to avoid because they were so painful to her all of the time. No, now she was thinking about them. She had to. She wanted to help someone for once instead of just sitting on the sidelines all the time like she did. It would do her some good to focus on something other than her own misery, wouldn’t it? It would if she would stop and take the time to do it of course like she was right now. She thought she remembered all the herbs and she couldn’t wait to make sure later.
With a blush that she covered with her blue streaked blonde hair, Serrie realized she had been so excited that she had entirely blown over Raea’s complement without so much of a thank you. Well, wasn’t she forgetting all of those manners she had been so proud of earlier? ”Thanks, by the by. Fer the compliment I mean. Used t’cook fer a pack of animals, glad t’know I still got it” she said, a small chuckle passing her lips as she said that. She kind of missed thoise days, missed running free and wild with a pack of werecats, or with Colin in the woods, or just being able to go where she pleased. She was a nomad, it was what had come naturally to her over the years. This sitting still all of the time was beginning to make her twitch like she was.
