Adelaide wasn't one to leave her house in the middle of the day, in fact she rarely left her house. Why was she leaving now? Well it was a nice day and Adelaide didn't want to spend it all inside doing paperwork. She hated paperwork, she'd much rather spend her days reading or finding guys to 'talk' with. Today it was reading. So, she tied up her black and blue corset, put on some dark jeans, her usual thigh high leather boots, and left her mansion for the park, her cloak's hood well over her eyes.
She didn't run, as running would only pull her hood away from her face and exposing her eyes to the sun, instead she walked, enjoying the sounds of the city. She watched a few people walk into the clothing store and saw another enter her jewelry store. Adelaide held her hood down with her hand, smiling to herself when her hand didn't burn in the sun, then sprinted. She got bored of just walking and realized that the sooner she got to the park the more time she would have reading. What would she be reading? Sherlock Holmes. She loved the books, they were hard to figure out, and because they were hard to figure out it gave her brain a good workout.
Once at the park Adelaide sat under a shady tree and opened her book to where she left off. The Holmes stories weren't in chapters, they were short stories, and there were a lot of them. She smiled when she read the title and started reading. Her hood stayed up, even though she was in the shade. The extra darkness helped her eyes as it continued to shield the sun. Her right leg extended out in front of her, her left leg staying bent so she could rest her arm on it as she read.
A ray of sun landed on Adelaide's cross necklace and it glared up into her face, she yelled and covered her eyes, dropping her book on the ground. She cursed and heard patients and staff members back away from her, even though most were already giving her space. She heard one start walking to her and her cursing continued, her eyes still stinging. "Unless you have an extra pair of sunglasses I'm not interested." The vampire sat back against the tree and kept her eyes closed, the cloak of her hood falling down to her shoulders.
Comments: Sorry it took forever to write this Adelaide is not an easy person to wake up for a muse (she sleeps like the dead for ten hours)
