[Jinx]

Rating.

As stated in the Proboards ToS, our rating here on Midnight Shadows is PG-13. Please try to keep it PG-13. If there is any form of extreme violence, nudity, or sex we ask that you black it out when it gets to the point they wouldn't show in a PG-13 movie. You can take it off the site, but please none of it on here.

Graphics.

To go along with the rating rule, all images should also fit the rating, so no nudity please--we don't want to see it. Avatars should not exceed 150px in width or 200px in height, though the preferred size is 120x200. All signatures should be 500x350 or smaller. Images larger than 500 stretch the board and you will be asked to take them down if they exceed this limit.

Posts.

We are an intermediate to advanced site, and as such our word count is two hundred and fifty words. We ask that you keep with that. Please, as common courtesy, we ask that you try to match the size of the person you're posting with: Don't give a 250 word reply to a 1000 word post, and vice-versa. Unless discussed player to player, then it is perfectly fine. We ask that all posts be literate, and no chat speak in sight.

Activity.

Activity is a must on the site. If you have gone over two months without posting, your account will be moved to the inactive member group. You are free to PM an admin to get it moved back. We ask that you post once every other week, especially if you have a monarch of either court or a high ranking official of the human world.

Characters.

No God Moding, which is to say, you control your character and your character alone, not the movements of other characters that you did not create. You are free to write that you aimed a punch at someone, but not that it sent them flying across the room unless you speak to the other person to arrange otherwise. There are also to be no Mary-Sue's or Gary-Stu's. This is to say, all characters should have flaws and weaknesses as well as strengths and attributes. No one is perfect, so neither is your character.

Face Claims.

We understand that some Fae look like something outside the realm of you or I, so all Faceclaims should be what the Fae would look like if glamored human. Also, feel free to use photoshop or anything of the sort (or either admin is happy to help!) to edit celebrity pics to change the colors or add wings or anything like that. Faceclaims are allowed to be any form of celebrity, even ones that are just internet celebrities. This is mostly due to the fact that internet celebrities tend to stay out of mainstream fashion and look more fantastical. We only ask that it be a celebrity, not a picture of you or any of your friends.

Names.

In order to preserve the Fae like nature of protecting their names, all Fae accounts should show the call name that the Fae goes by. Also all forms should use that name. In an effort to make these names as private as a fae would keep them, the color of the name shall be changed on the application as well, to blend it in to the background and make it harder to find out.

OOC.

Keep all fighting off of the site. We do not want to see it, and the chat is not a place for fighting. Please take it to PM or off of the site. If it is really a problem, please PM an admin and we will do our best to solve it in a way that works out for both parties. Also, if you are mad at another person OOC, please remember this does not mean that your character is mad at theirs.
